WASHINGTON, D.C. – October 2024 – Ethiopia's capital, Addis Ababa, has been announced as the venue for the 23rd Ministerial Meeting of the Horn of Africa Initiative (HoAI) scheduled for February 2025.

The high level Ethiopian delegation led by the Finance Minister, HE Ahmed Shide and comprised of the Governor of the National Bank of Ethiopia Mamo Mihretu, Senior Macro Economic Advisor to the Prime Minister Teklewold Atnafu, State Minister of Finance Dr Eyob Tekaligne

A high-level Ethiopian delegation, led by His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Shide, Minister of Finance, is in Washington DC to attend the 2024 World Bank and IMF Annual Meetings.

Today, the Government of Ethiopia, in collaboration with the Development Partners Group (DPG), held a high-level meeting at the Ministry of Finance to discuss the country’s ongoing macroeconomic reforms and their impact on fiscal and monetary policies.
