Addis Ababa, March 27, 2026 – The Invest in Ethiopia 2026 Forum has officially concluded, securing investment agreements valued at more than $13 billion across priority sectors of the economy.

ADDIS ABABA, March 27, 2026 — The newly appointed United Nations Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator for Ethiopia, Dr. Ozonnia Ojielo, conducted a high-level introductory meeting today with H.E. Semereta Sewasew, State Minister of Finance, to discuss the UN’s strategic support for Ethiopia’s ongoing national reforms and humanitarian initiatives.

ROME – March 18, 2026 – Ethiopia and Italy have signed a landmark agreement reinforcing their strategic development partnership and supporting Ethiopia’s macroeconomic reform agenda.

The Development Partners Group (DPG) convened its Heads of Agencies (HoA) meeting on 17 March 2026 in Addis Ababa to engage in a high-level dialogue on Ethiopia’s ongoing Federal Courts Reform. 

An Ethiopian delegation led by the Minister of Finance of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, H.E. Ahmed Shide, is currently in Rome for high-level discussions aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation between Ethiopia and Italy.

Paris, 12 March 2026 Ethiopia reaffirmed its longstanding partnership with Italy during the OECD Development Co-operation Peer Review of Italy held in Paris under the auspices of the OECD Development Assistance Committee.
