July 22/2024 – Addis Ababa – At the welcoming dinner reception in Skylight Hotel, H.E. Ato Ahmed Shide, Minister of Finance, congratulated the participants for the robust discussions, exchange of innovative ideas and forged partnerships on the first day of the preparatory conference and made a call to pursue in the same determination and collaboration in examining the challenging journey towards sustainable financing of the SDGs ( Sustainable Development Goals) and preparation for the upcoming 4th FFD (Financing for Development).

The Finance Minister further expressed that Ethiopia is honored by hosting the conference and invited the participants to explore Addis Ababa and its must-see tourist attractions during their stay in Addis Ababa.

Ms. Amina Mohammed, Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations, Mr. Li Junhua, Under-Secretary for the Economic and Social Affairs and Secretary-General of FFD4, Mr. Claver Gatete, Executive Secretary of the Economic Commission for Africa, Ministers and representatives of UN member states, Ethiopian Government officials, representatives of regional & international organizations, CSOs and academia were present in the dinner reception.
