H.E. Semereta Sewasew, State Minister of Finance and H.E. Ms. Liesje Schreinemacher, Netherland’s Minister for Development Cooperation and Trade visited the Livelihood Improvement for Women and Youth (LIWAY) program, which is supported mainly by the Netherland government, aiming to create employment opportunities for women and young people in Addis Ababa.

 

During the visit, the state minister highlighted the long-standing partnership of the two countries and expressed her gratitude for the Netherland government’s ongoing development support through different platforms including multilateral institutions and private sector. Moreover, she emphasized boosting the development cooperation between the two countries.

 

Minister Liesje on here part appreciates the recent progress in the country after the peace deal and assured that Ethiopia remains one of the Netherland’s priority countries. She further confirms that Netherland will continue to support the Government of Ethiopia’s development effort both at the country as well as at the multilateral levels.
