H.E. Semereta met the outgoing Spanish Ambassador H.E. D. Manuel Salazar Palma at her office today. H.E. Semereta extended her appreciation to the Ambassador for being a true ally and partner and support Ethiopia at this challenging time.

Ambassador Salazar Palma on his part expressed his appreciation and assistance for consolidation of the cooperation between the two countries. They also raised the Strategic Country Framework signed February, 2023, between the two countries focusing on the following three result areas; Health, rural development and resilience and gender equality.

They also discussed about the resumption of Ethiopian Airlines flight to Madrid four times a week which will strengthen the people-to-people relation, trade and tourism between the countries. 

Finally, H.E. State Minister Semereta promised that she will ensure the cooperation between the two countries will be further strengthened and will work closely with his successor who will assume his post shortly.
