April 3, 2023 - The European Union (EU), France Development Agency and Ethiopian government signed a 32 million Euro Financial support agreement at a ceremony held in Ministry of Finance.

The Finance Ministers of the Horn of Africa Countries held the 15th HOAI Ministerial meeting today in Nairobi, Kenya. The Ministers reviewed the progress made on the operation and implementation aspects of the HoA Initiative over the last year
The meeting was co-chaired by H.E Ato Ahmed Shide, Minister of Finance and Mr. Ousmane Dione, World Bank Country Director for Ethiopia, Eritrea, South Sudan and Sudan.
During the Joint Economic and Trade Commission meeting held on February 21, 2023, Ethiopia and China signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish an investment and economic cooperation working group aimed at jointly boosting bilateral economic and trade relations in strategic fields.
The Operation Manager acknowledged GoE’s reform agenda, and conveyed its message on the fund optimistic view over the country economic growth despite all current challenges in the country.The manager also discussed on the partnership framework agreement of the fund and current status of the projects.
